Cock and Woolpack Pub

There are falling numbers of pubs within the City of London that match the Cock and Woolpack, from the stable of Shepherd Neame this is a traditional style small pub. The Cock and Woolpack is off the beaten track for both tourists and City workers, the pub is not even permitted to have a sign, the restricted road width making that impossible. Having said that, perhaps this makes it even more of a gem, tucked away in Finch Lane in the heart of London's financial centre. The pub has a wooden floor at the entrance and bar area then carpet further back where it is more of a seating area, keeping the tradition of a bar & lounge. Beers available on my visit, which was the first day open after the change in management, Spitfire and Kents Best, both of excellent quality.
